How to delete your Moodpic account and personal data

At Moodpic, we value your privacy and believe you should have full control over your data. If you decide to stop using our platform, we make it easy for you to remove your information from our systems. Below you will find detailed instructions on how to initiate a deletion request and what happens to your data afterward.

If you want to delete your Moodpic account and all associated data, you can choose one of these two official options:

1) From the mobile app (Recommended Method)

This is the fastest and most secure way to delete your account, as it uses your existing authentication to verify the request immediately.

• Step 1: Open the Moodpic app on your device.
• Step 2: Navigate to My Profile (bottom right icon).
• Step 3: Tap on Edit Profile or the settings gear icon.
• Step 4: Scroll to the bottom and select Delete Account.
• Step 5: Follow the on-screen instructions and confirmation prompts to verify your intent.

Once confirmed, you will be automatically logged out and we will begin the permanent deletion process for all your stored assets and metadata.

2) By email request

If you no longer have access to the mobile app or prefer manual processing, you can contact our support team.

• Submit your deletion request through our contact page.
• In the body of the message, please include the email address associated with your Moodpic account.
• Security Verification: For your protection, we may ask you to provide a short confirmation or perform a specific action (such as replying to a verification code sent to your registered email) to ensure the request is legitimate and prevent unauthorized account hijacking.

What data will be permanently deleted

When your account is deleted, the following information is removed from our production servers:

• Profile Information: Your full name, display name, biography, and registered email address.
• User-Created Content: All uploaded photos, videos, galleries, moodboards, and associated captions, tags, and layout settings.
• Metadata: Your saved preferences, interface settings, favorites, and search history tied to your unique user ID.
• Profile Media: Your current and previous profile pictures or avatars stored on Moodpic servers.

What data will be retained (and why)

In certain limited circumstances, we are required by law or for operational security to retain specific records:

• Purchase & Billing Records: If you have subscribed to a Moodpic plan, we must retain transaction IDs, billing history, and payment records for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. These are kept for a period of up to 24 months in accordance with financial regulations.
• Anonymized Analytics: We may keep aggregated, high-level usage data (e.g., “how many users clicked a button”) that cannot be linked back to you personally. This helps us improve the app for everyone.
• Legal Compliance: Any information we are legally compelled to maintain to comply with active investigations, financial audits, or other statutory requirements.

Processing and retention

• Confirmation: We will acknowledge receipt of manual email deletion requests within 3 business days.
• Finality: The deletion of your active account and primary data is completed within 30 days of confirmation.

Partial deletions

If you do not wish to delete your entire account but want to remove specific items:

• Inside the app: Open a specific moodboard or gallery, tap settings/options, and select “Delete”.
• Contact us: You can use our contact page to request the removal of specific content without closing your account.

Final Warnings & Verification

• Irreversibility: Please note that once the 30-day processing window is complete, your data cannot be recovered. Any moodboards or galleries you have shared will no longer be accessible via their previous links.
• Verification: After the process is complete, we will send a final confirmation email to your address on file (if provided) to notify you that the deletion has been successfully executed.
